Harold Runnels Room
Harold Runnels was the US Representative of Southern New Mexico from 1960 to 1970, the year he passed away from cancer. The room contains the furniture, including his desk, couch, chairs, bookshelves and books, from is Washington D.C. office during his service to the nation and his state. Photographs and awards decorate the room. His widow Dorothy is a board member emeritus of the LCM. She was a member of the Lovington Women’s Club who created the museum in 1969. The room is located on the second floor of the Lister Building.
